The lack of whistles in football is so stupid. Might be even dumber than virtual fans.

It's ruining this Oklahoma State-Tulsa game so far. Even the announcers are getting angry because no one can hear whistles.
Imagine being such a limp dicked panty waist so afraid of COVID that you think electronic whistles is a good idea.

Apparently I haven’t been paying attention because I didn’t even know this was a thing.

All these retarded measures to "keep us safe" are so stupid.
Why anyone would want to live in a constant state of fear is beyond me.
It reminds me of when I went to Target back in May and after every customer the cashier did a full deep clean and wipe down of the cash register area. Or the stupid arrows on the floor in stores saying you can only walk this direction.
It's all intended to keep us in a constant state of fear.

So, they’re afraid of officials‘ spit flying when they blow a whistle? Are officials tested before games? 90% of these “making things safe” precautions are retarded.

Let's play along and assume that whistles can be a COVID super spreader.
Do you honestly believe any of the athletes on the field should worry about getting COVID? Survival rates for COVID among that age group are basically 100%. Hell even hopsitalization rates are pretty much 0.

They don't make strong electronic whistles?

If player can get covid tests so should refs. If you’re positive you can’t ref. If you’re negative you can use an actual whistle. This is so stupid.

None of this matters to administrators. I'm not going to sit here and say it's going to kill every 20 year old and give them lasting effects, but we really don't know what this virus can do long term. It is better to not get it than to get it, so why would they not take necessary measures to prevent people from getting it?
Seriously, how is an electronic whistle affecting your life in any, meaningful way?

It’s like some people don’t realize we are living in a global worldwide pandemic or are either in denial
This isn’t a long term change, it’s a short term change in an attempt to reduce the spread of COVID and protect players and prolong the season
Just enjoy the fact that we have football again!

Because it’s absolutely idiotic and is a solution in search of a problem.

I’m a serial gambler. It could cost me thousands of dollars so yes, it does.
ETA
Also, you’re saying since it doesn’t effect me I shouldn’t care. Should we apply that to everything or just things you agree with?

It’s not just the players. Many coaches and staff members fall into high risk categories due to their age, health, or weight

Preventing people from getting a virus is idiotic, got it.

ETA: I'm not saying you can't bitch about it, but i just think it's a very very minor thing to be mad it. If it affects you that much, and you're not mentally strong enough to sit through a football game on TV without going on a tirade on an internet message board, then you may just need to go outside and get some fresh air.

So wouldn’t it be safer to test everyone and make sure anyone with it can’t be on the field?

Playing past the whistle will result in players getting hit after the play and people getting hurt. That’s points. That’s food on my family’s table. Why do you want my children to starve?

Geez, no wonder this country has gone down the shitter. You have a better chance of dying in a car accident on the way home from the game than you do of dying from this cold.

is not at all what I'm saying. It is very simple. take precautions, contain the virus, continue progressing toward normal everyday lives again.
you seem to have forgot to take off your Q hat when you left the poli board.

It's not going to stop after the election. I'm not sure why some of you think it's just an election stunt. I hate to break it to you but the entire world didn't frick up it's economy just to hurt Trump.
