After owning homes with both products my wife and I have the opposite opinion(that's OK).

Quartz can be just as pretty and really is less to worry about. Particularly things soaking into granite.. with a house full of kids you never know what will get left sitting on the counter.

Honestly I find quartz to appear completely synthetic and it reminds me of the plastic stuff they used in the 70s. As expensive as it is it looks cheap.
