From media day clip on BR news, Saban was talking about his team last year, saying they played up for good teams and down for the bad ones...does anyone else think LSU did the same thing under Saban while he was here?

No. And the game was 34-9

Would you like to try Troy State in 2004?

No, but we certainly did not play well in that game...especially in the first half.

Its not Saban's influence in Tuscaloosa, Alabama has been like that for almost as long as I have been watching football. I've never understood it...

Most of all teams play up against the good teams and bad against the bad teams. Simply because it's so much easier to get hyped up against a good team and harder against a team who you know that you should beat pretty easy. I also think having fans pack the house for big games and going wild helps get the team fired up compared to fans not showing up or leaving early against bad teams and showing a lack of intense interest.

I think the arky game was just conservative play calling while the kentucky game was after a very physical florida game and the team was still beat up.

I think both Kentucky and Arkansas were the results of injuries. With a healthy Flynn, Doucet, Dorsey, Alexander and an eligible Franscois we would have been consistent and probably undefeated.
