He was the best LSU has ever had. It takes a lot more than a good QB to play for a NC. It takes a favorable schedule, a certain kind of chemistry, and quite a bit of luck.

Fisher dropped the ball.

Russell + Bowe + Davis = 1 pt. per No.1 draft choice vs Auburn.

JR is talented, unfortunately winning championships did not occur under his tenure as a starter.

No, and I predicted it wouldn't after Saban publicly questioned his work ethic.

I really do think the AB comparisons hold water.

The throw he made at the 4:18 mark is my favorite he ever made. Looks off a receiver to the right, then sees Buster Davis sliding open into the endzone and absolutely BLISTERS a ball past DB's who couldn't even react to the velocity of it. Only a handful of QB's to ever play could have dared make that throw.

It was really the only time I recall him ever REALLY stepping into a ball and throwing it on a complete rope like that. The thing had a vapor trail behind it...

I thought the same thing watching the highlight. That throw was unbelievable. He is loaded with talent. I think he'll have a pretty decent year this season with the Raiders.

i wont blame jimbo...I'll blame awful defense in the Tennessee game, a fumble on the 1 yard line in the Florida game (multiple fumbled kick returns too), and a questionable call or 2 in the Auburn game.
