We all know that losing Chase hurts.

BUT, don't be surprised if this makes this team a little more of a team. The morale I believe will be better not because Chase is a bad guy, but because playing time for several deserving back ups. The receiving depth is off the charts boys!! Why do you think Brian Thomas may sign with Bama? The competition in Tuscaloosa is not as strong as in Baton Rouge. PERIOD.

Yes the morale of the entire team is going to improve because of backups getting more playing time.

Lol yep that’s the ticket we are better without arguably our best players. A couple of potential 1st round picks.
Damn.
Damn.

I did not say better team goofball. I said better morale.

Butte is a fabulous player.
He will be a great fill in for Chase.
I would love to see Chase however I feel he made a good business decision for him.
Let’s just enjoy this team for what it is and in 2021 we will be the team to beat!!
I’m so pumped!!

You know what really keeps morale high? Winning
You wanna know how you win? Field better players
Losing Chase isn’t a positive. He’s never had off the field issues, he’s a dominant player and he was our strongest leader in the offseason
You can argue that if you had to lose a star WR would be the position but losing the best player in the conference isn’t a positive

It’s hard to make a positive spin our losing our best player on offense, but I appreciate you trying. I too am looking forward to watching the other WRs.

I’m not trying!!
Chase is gone
Next man up and it’s a 5 star stud from LA that will make plays that will remind you of Chase.
Don’t be a pessimist little bitch.
U obviously don’t know talent..

Jamar Chase is a once in a generation type WR. His backup will not live up his standard that he set.
This offense can still put up monster numbers as long as the scheme from last year is still in place.

Wow, interesting. WRs are a dime a dozen and you used the most overused phrase of all time. Chase is special not generational. We have two talents on the team that could be considered generational and neither are WRs.

Ummmmm Bama just had 2 guys drafted in the 1st round and will have 2 more next year. Think they're doing just fine

There’s no harm in being optimistic. I don’t think losing chase is the #1 problem. Shelvin, Vincent and Farell are bigger gaps to fill. On the surface we’re looking at a rocky rebuilding season. But nobody really could predict the 2019 season either. So nobody really knows what will happen.

Chase was going to be unstoppable.
As good as he was last year, he was a notch above this year.

Jamar Chase is the best WR LSU has ever produced. His play last year was a big part of LSU’s success. When Clemson were all over us he schooled their #1 CB into submission. Without him it’s a way tighter game at best.
It’s ridiculous the things being written about him on this board. People should be ashamed of themselves.

Guess how many teams in the country get BETTER when they lose the best wide out in college?
ZERO!
ZERO!

Rather lose Chase than Shelvin.

Well, one of those generational talents couldn't cover Chase during camp this year.

You don't just "replace" a talent like Chase. But it is the nature, by design, of CFB that you have to do exactly that.
The list of names that MIGHT replace his production is a long one. If there were only 1 or 2, I might be worried. But at the end of the day it is an impressive list and why worry about the things you can't control anyway.
McMath
Palmer
Kirklin
Moore
Jenkins
Boutte
Adams
I left Marshall off because he's already in there and isn't a "replacement".
Any of those guys have the potential to truly replace Chase. Chase was indeed something special. That doesn't preclude any of those guys from being just as special.
I wouldn't be at all surprised for LSU to have b-2-b Biletnikoff winners and McMath being the recipient.
