thats the thought i had. but i also have read stories of 18yr old seniors in high school who sleep with 14yr old freshmen in high school being put onthe sex offender registry for life. check out the OT sometime when a under 18 boy sleeps with a female teacher. he is hailed as a hero and the teacher a slut. reverse the genders and see how that conversation goes.

The actual fricked up thing is this was already legal to do for heterosexual relationships. It's now just been expanded to homosexual relationships, both of these being vile. Like an 18 year old can now legally diddle a 9 year old is fricking sick.

The point of the fix should be to limit it to an agreeable period less than 5 years while expanding it to cover non-vaginal sex.
Keeping the 10 year limit while expanding it to cover oral and anal has bad optics to say the least.

If you're an 18 year old and you sleep with a 14 year old, you're a creep. 18/2=9 9+7=16. That's as low as you can go as an 18 year old is 16.

I’d agree.
Used to know seniors who would “date” girls in middle school or 9th grade.
Only reason nothing was ever said, IMHO, was that their family pretty much owned the town they lived in so it was unlikely anyone would say boo about it.

How does a 11 year old give consent to a 22 year old? Are they serious? God I hate what this country is becoming and it’s not surprising that California of all state protects pedophiles.

They just have a law that an adult having sex with someone younger than 18 is illegal and leave it at that.
