Which ones are you investing in and what kinda predictions are ya thinking?
I've been heavily investing in :
- O
- NHI
- MPW
- STOR
- AVB
Hard not to with such nice dividends and in some of them are nearly half the price they were pre-COVID.
I plan on holding them all for at least 24 months and then dumping once the market goes back up as well as using them to do some cash covered calls once I'm ready to sell.
Gunna use them to buy me a nice M5.

Totally ignorant of REITs, but I was talking to a friend who put some money in a few and said he had issues with selling. Is there anything special about selling/liquidating holdings?

Some are publicly traded so no issues with selling. Other are non-publicly traded. For some of these, liquidating can be problematic depending on several factors.

I am normally a buy and hold type of guy. However, I have moved in and out and back in on O. I've commented about in before. Triple net leases, monthly dividends with a good yield and if I remember right they stay away from malls. I didn't go back to check to see when I first purchased but I sold some of my shares earlier this year at $75.96 for a 50% profit. Bought back 200 shares at $45.10 on 4/3/20. I have an alert set to look into selling some if hits $68. Oh yeah, they have been slowly raising their already good dividend.

I invest in IRT (Independence Realty Trust).
Nice apartment buildings. In areas like Tampa, Louisville, Atlanta, Charlotte, etc.
Ppl are going to be leaving the NYCs, SF etc.
Work remote.
Many REITs are heavy in these areas.
I'd tread carefully and avoid REITs with holdings in high price locations.

so much question about commercial real estate right now.
The debt loads are high and I'm hearing a lot of talk about a coming collapse in the commercial sector.
I'd steer clear with few exceptions.
