Jacoby Stevens appreciation thread

I haven’t had the chance to listen to him speak or be interviewed until just recently. Recently watched LSUs YouTube stream, and a series of interviews by Emily Dixon with returning players ran. Jacoby came off as an extremely down to earth, smart, nice guy who loves LSU and football for the right reasons. Also watched a video LSU produced that showed the 2019 team as kids, and to see his picture with his LSU hat and shirt standing next to a Mike statue was nice to see. Lastly, I saw him being a leading voice for the teams walk out, and I just realized what a special guy we have here. He explained the teams position fully and unmistakably, better than most of us “grown ups” do. I’m proud that our team is lead by Jacoby in a moment like this.

JaCoby is a good kid, and a breath of fresh air when it comes to understanding the importance of respecting yourself when you have a situation where you feel strongly about a cause. His tweet about having a conversation with O, and respecting the fact that he heard him and listened to him is how human beings should conduct themselves. And the national lack of this specific example is why this current nonsense is not received well. People are generally good. They actually really are if you take the time to ask.

JaCoby Stevens @jacobystevens7 Coach O heard us and is here for us. He has never heard or experienced the things that we told him that we deal with on the daily. So for him it was A LOT. And that’s ok. At least he’s willing to have the conversation with us.

Jacoby is an interesting and curious guy. He’s hard not to like.Hopefully he goes beyond the vapid Leftist sloganeering and educates himself on the absolute irrational dead end Collective Race Guilt is and how Marxism always leads to social chaos, poverty, violence and murder. 100,000,000 dead to Leftist Utopian social tinkering in the 20th century and nobody knows a single name.

You know, with many of the older athletes I see less maturity and understanding in the way they approach this subject. The LeBrons, much of the NBA, the talking head former athletes on TV, and of course politicians have all made me want to turn my head in disgust at their lack of a complete thought or stance. When I heard Jacoby speak on it, I heard someone who knows that it is a much more complex issue than just “frick Trump”, “frick America”, or most of the irrational rhetoric that supposedly grown men and women have espoused.
I was thankful that he represented LSU in that moment. I may disagree heavily with a lot of the “movement” but I can respect and listen to a guy like that. He is the anti Ryan Clark. Not only that, but he came back to LSU and is a great Tiger. He is now my favorite player.

I'm in the same boat. Just realizing how much of an upstanding guy he is.
He and some others are also helping collect supplies today for those affected by Laura.

If you’re able, please bring any supplies that you can. Paper towels, water, diapers. Anything helps.

Were your eyes closed when you typed that, right after you farted in a jar so you can smell it later?
You are on the Poli board all the time with the most ignorant takes imaginable. Idiots like you are the reason cities burn as opposed to civilized conversation.

This is the issue x 1000. Jacoby's out there promoting activism on an issue that is being exploited by the Hard Left haters of this country who simply want to destroy it and replace it with a Marxist totalitarian government. It does't get any simpler than that. The elites don't give a shite about black people which is why they've instilled programs for decades to keep them poor, uneducated, and dependent on the government. Black people are simply pawns in Hard Left's mission to destroy America. Hopefully, these kids like Jacoby don't get the real picture behind everything. Because if he truly does understand, then he's a POS like the rest of the thugs and reprobates.

Stevens stuck with it when things weren't going his way. That's dedication.

Don't forget he was armed with a knife.

"The 'main' video circulating on the internet shows Mr. Blake with the knife in his left hand when he rounds the front of the car," the statement continues. "The officers issued repeated commands for Mr. Blake to drop the knife. He did not comply."

I wish there were a way to keep the nutsacks and trolls out of a thread you start.
This was a thread to appreciate Jacoby. Not a thread for internet characters to continue their retardfest of who can regurgitate what they’ve heard or read in the snarkiest way.

Jacoby Stevens got my Respect last season when he stood up and was pissed off about how our defense was giving up dat arse. Not Lawrence, Delpit, Phillips it was Stevens that said this defense has too much talent to be playing so bad. I think it was the Ole miss game if I am correct.

So no one can disagree and not appreciate the virtue signaling based on misinformation and media propaganda?

You could do all that in the hundreds of other posts debating right or wrong, true or false.
By all means, explain why you disagree with Jacoby being a smart, level headed leader of our football team.
