Hence the racist praises Kyle Rittenhouse for patriotic vigilantism yet finds endless justifications for the murder of Jacob Blake and those before him by the hands of state....Cue the downvotes and triggered responses by racists.

I’ll jump in, this is retarded.

How about all of you shut the frick up and go argue about this stupid shite on a different board.

None of what any of you are talking about has anything to do with the Pelicans, or even the sport of basketball for that matter.

An appropriate comment in this thread is something like, how is this boycott going to affect the CBA, or the salary cap next year. how does that affect FA this offseason? How does it affect max contracts signed next year.

There's already multiple places for all of you to go spew your bull shite about race and injustices and whatever other non pelicans things you want to talk about. keep it out of here.

Sports are supposed to be the one place where people of all different backgrounds, religion, beliefs, etc. can come together as one and cheer for their team together and united as one.
How about we keep Pels talk the same, and keep the discussion about our team.

LOL, if you cant handle the heat, don’t start fires in the kitchen.

You didn’t have a single complaint the other day when you were laughing this off next to posts pumping Trump and denigrating social justice protests.

People want to denigrate, spout racism, or like you, laugh off the frustration of black people seeing endless cycles of systemic racism and state violence, but dear god if someone comes in with a different POV, SHUT THEM DOWN AND SHAME THEM!!! THIS IS FOR NBA OINLYY!!

STFU

Pretty universally when someone has to immediately resort to shutting someone down, or personally insulting them, it’s a pretty reliable heuristic to conclude that person is doing so because they have no actual substantive retort and are just rage posting.

Nah, some things are so stupid they don’t warrant serious response.

Your failure is believing you offered anything substantive to retort.

And what was i laughing at? You have no idea, just making shite up.
If you want to know what i'm laughing at, it's how stupid these players are for walking out on their employer, costing their employer money, an employer that stands behind them almost to a fault. In any other setting in this country, those employees would be fired for what they did.
I'm almost certain i've never typed the word "Trump" on Pels Talk. I keep my Pels talk centered around the Pelicans, not shite that belongs on other boards.

Bring your racism shite somewhere else. I don't give a frick about it on Pelicans Talk.
I appreciate your input as a poster on the pelicans here, always have, but i don't really care about your thoughts on things that belong on the OT or Poliboard.
No different when i go to a Pelicans game and sit next to a stranger. Could care less how they feel about our president, racism, apples, cars, potato guns, if they wipe or use a bidet, etc. We are both there united as Pelicans fan and are their to cheer them on.

Another heuristic that is pretty reliable is that if someone is spending an hour and multiple posts telling you how worthless your critique is, without being able to articulate anything, you probably hit a nerve, not a void.

This is the hill you gonna die on lol? Dude had warrants out for him. I can guarantee you he knew he did. He did not want to go back to jail. Cops yelled at him 20 times to stop. Any normal person would have got on the ground or put their hands up. Then he reaches into the car? He’s a dumass POS that put his kids lives in danger by his actions. Cops have a right to do their job.

As far as Rittenhouse, the photos and video show he was leaving and walking away and was attacked. One guy drop kicked him in the head, another hit him in the head with his skateboard (felony aggravated battery) and the other had a gun pointed at him. The third guy held his hands up and backed away, guess what he didn’t shoot him. So that makes people racist for supporting him? Sounds like you are the racist.

And lastly you saw after shooting three people, and cops pulled up on the scene, he walked towards them with his hands completely up in the air with his gun around his back. I’m thinking a murderer wouldnt be doing this or a person with enough sense that doesn’t want to get shot by the police.

So exactly what I said, laughing off their concerns, denigrating their views, and thinking they need to just shut up and dribble. They speak out because unlike so many others, they can.

But when someone comes in and calls out the racism, suddenly you want to shut down non Pels conversations. Nah. You all want to take the shots, don’t get shocked when someone fires back.

You continue to prove my point perfectly don’t you.

Jacob had it coming because he wasn’t complying perfectly with the law.

Kyle was justified because despite not complying with the law(breaking curfew, potentially illegally transporting and owning a firearm at 17), he had his reasons, I guess....And cops were cool to look past all that.

When the cops were unnecessarily aggressive in using lethal force they were doing their jobs.

When Kyle was breaking the law And decided to use lethal force, he was justified because the crowd was making him feel threatened.

When Jacob felt threatened and ran away to his car the cops had a right to shoot.

When Kyle felt threatened he had a right to shoot at the black people/allies he shouldn’t have been around in the first place.

It so ingrained you don’t even realize it. The white boy is a patriot defying the law for good, the black man broke the law and had it coming.

This isn’t about defending Jacob, it’s about seeing the broken system for what it is and the people that will bend over backwards to defend it.

When Kyle felt threatened
To clarify, are you stating that Jacob running from the cops is the same situation as Kyle running from non-cops?

No I’m saying in both instances you have people breaking the law and in one instance you have the racist defending the racist as a patriot and without fault, while using the same rationale of law breaking you ignored for the white person to condemn the black man.

Lol so he deserves to be shot 7 times is what you are saying??? Him being paralyzed from the waist down doesn't seem excessive what so ever but a 17 year old who the only reason why he was hit in the head was because he was shooting at ppl seems justified... not to mention why does a 17 yr old have Assault rifle any way? Like that isn't odd to you?

This is fricking hilarious. You are grasping at straws now. Dude had felony warrants out for him. Was tased several times and still didn’t stop, but he ‘wasn’t complying completely.’ You making my point for me.

Cops had no idea what had just happened. A person was walking up with their hands up and was compliant, a non threat. So he was breaking curfew, like the other thousands of rioters and looters out that night. Police weren’t messing with them either. And he was ‘potentially’ breaking the law by carrying a gun.
And you are not even sure so police are suppose to know that in real time?

There are witness statements the first ‘victim’ tried to take his gun and he retreated after the shooting. The second shootings were clearly self defense. Y attack a guy that is retreating, holding a gun? And my ‘white privilege’ is showing? Your ‘hood’ is definitely showing big time and you are making my point for me.

They can speak out all they want, i don't care. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't agree with everyone's opinion, but i have zero problem with anyone speaking out about things they care about. That's what makes this country great. The NBA has allowed them to put stupid arse shite on their jerseys to speak out, put BLM on their court, allowed them to speak about all of this without any fear of retribution from their employer for expressing their beliefs regardless if it hurts their business or not. This is a employer who made a man sell his business b/c he said some racist things. I think it's ridiculous he was forced to sell the team. I also think he's a fricking moron of a human being that deserved what he got b/c of what he said. This same employer fined a player $100k for saying the word fagget. Yet someone hollers out bitch arse white boy and they make excuses for him and quickly sweep it under the run like it was no big deal. If that isn't an employer that stands behind it's black employees, i don't know who is.
And these employees repay them by walking out on the most important financial part of their season. They are just as stupid as the dumb fricks destroying other peoples property that have nothing to do with what they are protesting against. They took a stand at the cost of their employer. That was stupid as frick, and they should be penalized b/c of it, financially.
These guys have all sorts of platforms to speak out, and the resources to help make change in this country. Boycotting their playoffs was fricking stupid, and everyone is laughing at how stupid they are for doing so.
There's a right way to stand up and speak out, and there's a stupid way. Go listen to this man speak. LINK

If i want to take shots on that, i'll do it on the OT and Poliboard, or even the MSB. Not here. I'm irritated i even took the time to say everything i did above this, and i'm not going to talk about it again.

I look forward to your opinions on the Pelicans in the future Bronc.

So the mob trying to take your gun, drop kick you in the head, hit you in the head with a skateboard and pulls a gun on you is not justified in making him feel threatened? Really?

When Jacob felt threatened and ran away to his car the cops had a right to shoot.

Feeling threatened by the mob and the police are two entirely different things. The victims that were shot by Riddenhouse were, wait for it, convicts or had numerous arrests. Hell one just got out of jail. They should not be dooling out justice. You are suppose to respect the police. They have to answer to someone, the mob does not. Your ignorance is really showing.....

You might want to read my posts a little closer.

Starting with my first one in this thread.

The best rationalization people seem to have for why he should be shot 7 times in the back is that he wasn’t complying and had a criminal record/was not adhering to every letter of the law.

Meanwhile, redneck vigilante breaks curfew, possibly illegally possessed and transferred a gun across Illinois state lines, then was given water and a pep talk before police officers funneled protestors toward his group, reportedly telling them they can handle it. After shooting three people the police don’t even think to apprehend him despite protestors yelling he shot people.

To the TD boi’s white boy is a patriot, black man had it coming, cops are perfect.
