You brought it up in a lame arse attempt to troll.

You do not care what we think. We do not care what you feel.

Yeah, it was an odd thing for her to say but who cares?

Peurto Ricans are Americans. Fine. Let’s get these facts correct.
Now admit that a person with a penis is a male and that a person who makes millions of dollars playing a sport is not oppressed and that a brokedick hillbilly is not privileged.

I'm not extremist. All of those things are true.

I will admit there is a difference between speaking for those who are oppressed and actually being oppressed.

Ask a Puerto Rican if they are Puerto Rican or American and most will say Puerto Rican.

You people need to meet some Puerto Rican’s.

In Orlando they put small PR flags on their cars. Very few also put American flags.

Am I wrong? I have a good friend that is Puerto Rican. He agrees.

Maybe I’m wrong. It’s happened before.

He was born on the island though.

Doesn’t it make sense for him to say he’s Puerto Rican ? I’ve never understood the big deal. He’s Puerto Rican but also an American citizen.

I bet people from USVI say they are islanders.

I’m talking about the ones in Puerto Rico. They have their own Olympic team for fricks sake. But when a hurricane hits them “we’re Americans too!”

All of the Puerto Ricans that I know claim to be both. It's not different than being a proud Floridan or Georgian and a proud American.

My partner's mother is also a Republican Trump voter and he's a staunch Democrat.

Puerto Ricans are Puerto Ricans. Start paying taxes and we'll talk.

Like he would know. No one is running around asking that question--not mainlanders, not other Puerto Ricans.

People may identify as Puerto Ricans because usually the question is asked in the context of where are you from because I can tell there is something different about you. No one is asking what's your allegiance. Context matters.

Now, ask a little old abuela in Puerto Rico and she may say a few choice words about yankees.

As a territory, only federal workers pay federal taxes but they are required to pay payroll taxes, social security taxes, business taxes, gift taxes, estate taxes, etc.

Yeah, they pay in to social security and then draw it when they retire. If they work in Puerto Rico, they don't pay jack in Federal Taxes.
