How are these tech companies going to be powered without oil and nuclear? Solar and wind won't do it. If anyone has some good nuclear stocks to suggest I am all ears, but the energy has to come from somewhere.

It's all political with no merit

It's like that with their management too. If you don't fit the mold of an "Exxon" man (usually boomer engineers who go to schools like A&M, UT, and certain SEC schools) then you were less likely to move up the chain.

People should know that fracking has been around for 100 years, and that all the shite in those michael moore documentaries are crap.

Batteries are getting better and cheaper every day.

I’ll never understand how free market people all of a sudden think they’ve found some insurmountable problem the market can’t solve. Yall sound like people at the turn of the century saying there will be no use for cars, horses will always be the key!!

Tesla is the future, DWI. And it has little to nothing to do with climate change so leave your politics at the door.

Very well will be the future but there is NOTHING Tesla can do to replace the products hydrocarbons make which are in the thousands that every day people around the world use.

Vehicles, planes, boats, etc are one thing but hydrocarbons also create products.

I think it’s funny you idiots still think all this oil and natural gas came from fossils

I am a retired petroleum geologist. Two points about the term “fossil fuels”.
1. Oil and natural gas are derived from long dead plants and algae. By long dead I mean millions of years. Hence the fuels are derived from long dead plant material or “fossil”/ancient.
2. Material from which oil and gas are derived can be identified in the rocks and hence are fossils. Fossil plant material.
You have any other questions?

The fault of Jeff immelt. He’d rather have government contracts.

They are looking into indicting him for his idiocies. They claimed GE falsified reports, basically ENRON.

That moron would fly with TWO private jets in case one was inop. Does not look good for a company that makes aircraft engines...

Paid way too much money for XTO because Exxon’s arrogance made them ignore shale until it was too late then he thought they could buy their way in. Although he at least maintained the stock price for the most part, Darren Woods has proudly presided over the company losing over half its valuation since he took over. That’s what happens when a downstream guy runs a company that makes all its money pulling oil out of the ground. Exxon needs to go steal the highest level executive they can get from Chevron.

They also lost their edge when they decided to cave to the SJW mob and made inclusion and diversity more important than skill set in their hiring and promotional decisions. They tried to overcome 100 years of hiring and promoting only white males by persecuting them and hiring the first red, yellow and brown employees that applied for jobs. Employees spending more time meeting in company sponsored diversity chapters than doing their real work. It’s been horrible for the morale of everyone else, and hiring And retaining the best and brightest has become an afterthought in favor of ensuring meetings look like a meeting of the UN.

If you don’t think JBE and his GumboPac overlords had everything to do with the XOM/SABIC $8 Billion project going to Corpus rather than Baton Rouge, then you are more clueless than I thought.
