Agreed. I can't for the life of me get what all the complaining is about with this project. Government street looks about 1000x nicer than it ever has. If people don't want the slower pace to get downtown, just jump one street over to Florida. I seriously don't get it.

Government Street served more of the SE part of the city who were heading to and from Downtown.
And Florida is not the next street over. Look at a map of Downtown,
You have Florida then Convention then N Blvd. a bunch of small streets then Government St. People use the East/West street depending where they work, etc. Just saying everyone should use Florida makes no sense. If it was better for them they would use it now.

A lot of people in BR are resistant to change, which is a main reason why BR continues to be one of the least attractive cities in the country for people to relocate to.
