Had one on my left hand at the base of my thumb right on the crease of my wrist. I was told it was a simple procedure to remove at the day surgery place. Anesthesiologist numbed my whole arm and I don’t even remember being wheeled in or out of the operating room. Wasn’t expecting that. Thought I was gonna be awake.

Most of the time? When are the times where it is dangerous?

I've had a ganglion cyst on my wrist for over a decade and it comes and goes.

Doctor had told me it was nothing as long as it wasn't painful it would never be an issue.

Has one in right wrist for several years. Caused from trauma during basketball a game.

Would swell occasionally and prevent full range of motion but really was only a discomfort randomly.

It literally popped after a weird backwards flicking motion of my wrist one night and has never came back.

It literally felt like a tiny water balloon in my worst burst and fluid ran thru my wrist for a couple seconds.

I had one popping out the top of my wrist where it bends. Got it removed around 12 years ago and it never came back.

Had one that was giving me trouble. Doctor said he could suck it out with a needle and it had a 90% chance of coming back... or he could do surgery and it had a 10% chance of coming back. Had him suck it out with the needle and it never came back been about 7-8 years. Definitely don’t trust these frickers doing surgery on my hand.

Had one on foot. Drained a few times each time with a larger needle until it was untenable. Surgery to remove. Recovery felt like a badly sprained ankle. Has not grown back.

Anybody had an experience with one or had one cut out?

Yep. Harmless but unsightly. I had my joint injected in an effort to fix it, but it didn’t work.

I had one in my wrist taken out. I hit 3-4 times over a 6 month period with a book but it kept coming back. Easy recovery.

I've had several removed. Two were on my back and became uncomfortable while leaning back. Other than that no issue. I have one on the outside of my left wrist that goes up and down. Other than strapping a golf glove not a problem and not painful.
