Thoughts on Watercolor Inn and area

Travelling as a couple in September after labor day for a short trip - 3 nights. We plan to setup at the beach or pool both days to unwind. What are some good alternatives if we get bored of that, and what are the best non-family restaurants for a couple? The patios at Bud & Alleys and Pescado are on the list but I'd like to look at other options. I think I read that FOOW at the inn had changed it up to be more family oriented
ETA - this our first trip to the "30A" and the first time I've been to the FL panhandle in close to 15 years.

Cafe 30A for the best food.
Stinky’s for a Louisiana feel, still great food.
Pescado for best ambiance.
Chiringo for a beach bar and grill.

You May consider The Pearl in rosemary beach. September is generally a low time for kids as they are in school and I don’t think The Pearl allows kids but not sure. But I don’t think anywhere could promise no kids.

Gyno's list is good
I'd skip Bud and Alleys unless you just really want to sit on the patio there.
The Wine Bar across the street is solid. Great Southern is walkable but pretty family-ish.
