Iowa parents "firmly reject" the contents of @bigten Kevin Warren's news release and plan to head to Rosemont, Ill., Friday.

The one good thing to come from this is how Kevin Warren has been exposed nation wide as a complete buffoon. But he's an affirmative action hire so unfortunately he's not going anywhere.

Well, the parents and Big Ten United got what they want screaming for a bunch of protocols. It was easier to cancel the season. I give credit to OSU for saying they would sign waivers and do what it takes to play.

Aren't all college football players adults?

LOL Iowa State playing ball, Iowa not.

INDIANAPOLIS – Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren has not helped himself since his conference postponed the 2020 college football season, but if you’re going to read this story as a defense of Warren, stop reading now. This is a defense like Rutgers plays defense, and Rutgers allowed 37 points per game last season. Rutgers doesn’t play defense.
Sorry, Rutgers, but this is your fault. And it’s your fault, Michigan. And Ohio State and Nebraska and Penn State – especially you, Penn State. What’s happening here, the nationwide demolition of the Big Ten in the wake of its decision to cancel the 2020 season, is the fault of all 14 schools. Specifically their presidents, who on Aug. 11 marched Kevin Warren onto a brightly lit stage to announce the decision, then scurried out the back door
This writer is all over the place, but he does make some interesing points
quote:
It’s your fault, Penn State president Eric J. Barron. Here’s why: Your athletic director, Sandy Barbour, told the media earlier this week: “It’s unclear to me whether or not there was a vote. No one’s ever told me there was.”
Meanwhile, people around the country are just eating this up. Can you believe it, the AD at Penn State doesn’t even know if they took a vote!
Well why is that, Sandy? Do you not have Eric J.’s number? Does he not have yours? Don’t make me print them here. Suffice it to say, Sandy, that the last four digits of his office phone number are 7611. Says here his office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Try your call then.
Well, no. I can’t believe it. Kind of embarrassing that she’d say it. Kind of embarrassing that anyone would believe it.
But that’s where we are today, isn’t it? People utter an inanity into a microphone, and if that inanity complies with our world view, we believe it.
quote:
Meanwhile, the president at Minnesota said last week that there might not have been a vote among Big Ten presidents. In fact, she suggested, there was no vote.
“We didn't vote, per se,” Joan Gabel said.
Some advice: When people start talking Latin, make a run for it. They’re equivocating, another word for lying.

USA Today is calling them out:
As predicted...whatever Conferences play, they are going to face a media backlash.
The media isn't going to accept Conferences going forward without rebuke and ridicule.
quote:
We’ve been watching parents obsess over their children’s sports for years, so we really shouldn’t be surprised that the day has finally come that moms and dads are taking to the streets to complain about the unthinkable. They are actually angry that their sons are not being allowed to play a sport in which social distancing is impossible during the nation’s deadliest pandemic in 100 years

Ohio State needs to come play with the big boys in the SEC for a season.

USA Today of course would be in favor of locking everything down in perpetuity.
There are times I wish Trump would come out in favor of locking everything down, closing every store, no one earns an income.
The leftist media would not know how to respond.

You notice since the Big10 and PAC10 cancelled football the players demanding revenue and the SJW movement disappeared
Now the kids and parents are just begging for football back and not making all those crazy demands about revenue etc.
