Is there any word on how Emery has progressed?
I think he's the top prospect back there, but he came in a bit full of himself, and I also think he came in anticipating the old run-first offense.
Just from some of his highlights, I think he might be the most Kamara-like guy we have. Who knows, maybe we see a 2 WR, TE, 2 back system. You could have both Curry or TDP out there with Emery, and then split Emery wide. Gilbert at TE, sometimes you split him too.

IF JE can get better at pass protection and also protecting the ball the rest is there. TDP i think caught on a little better, kid is big and also has speed, better at pass protection and pretty good in the screen game. I think all 3 backs have a good year but it will take all 3 to do what a single CEH did last year. There has been a lot of good backs that came out of LSU but CEH last year was one of the best all around backs and most fun to watch in that offense. I just wonder what LF7 would have done in that offense

The difference between the three will be a fumble or two or a dropped pass. The good news is that none of the three either fumble or drop passes

Emery had his times early last season fumbling and thats why he didnt get much playing time from early in the season on till the Peach bowl if i remember correctly. I could be wrong.

If Les was coach it would be TDP all the way, but in this offense it is Emery. He is special in space, and that is where LSU wants to put the ball in their hands.
When Bama blitzes and forces Brennan to unload quickly it will be to a back with one man to beat. In many of those cases the defender will not even touch Emery.

Emery may have a maturity issue which is why he never played in the tough games and TDP did so with that being said im going with TDP

Emery is a lost soul. Move on.
Do you attend practice or just negative toward Emery?
I've listened to Coach O every day and he has heaped praise on each RB. Yesterday he mentioned that Emery had several outstanding runs.
He has repeatedly praised the true freshman back.
I expect Curry to take the first play vs Ms State.
Then it will be up to the back who fits the situation.

Or he was the only RB on the team not to go through spring practice.

Emery has the slashing ability that neither of the others have. If he can catch out of the backfield, he will overtake the others.
Curry against Oklahoma looked like he was running as hard on every play as possible. So if he comes with that all year, he’s going to destroy defenses.
I like the idea of the RB that can split out wide and catch the ball. This offense utilized CEH in the perfect way so why not go with the RB that is best in space. Emery for me.
