Any of you considering being actors or work in the industry?

When I lose weight, I want to get an agent. I've made some short films too with the school film club.

A lot of locals have been extras in films being shot in LA since the tax credit program started
I knew one that was in all the twilight movies filmed here and has been in a lot of different movies as an extra, uncredited roles
She never made it big time in the industry but it was a lot of steady work for a period of time, you had to be prepared to work weird hours
That's what you have to do sometimes to get started and even then it's a longshot to make it that route
She had another job as well but they were pretty flexible in letting her do it

Director David Lynch says to get out and make your own movie, act, anyone can literally do it if passion is there. Today's pro-sumer cameras and lighting, etc., is affordable for all. You can edit and score your film on the same platform many directors/editors now use, i.e. DaVinci Resolve. Lynch points out how his generation did not have this great age of fast and affordable movie making tools.

Davinci is great but it’s so damn power consuming.

Only if I can get the Weinstein perks without the #MeToo risk.

I'm a porno actor, Buck Naked.

I'd rather make the films than be in them nowadays

Boo Krewe,
You have got to stop. This troll job you are doing is beyond cringeworthy. There is no way you are real. This is a Chip Chiperson clone.

I do a little standup here and there, but mostly open mics. Buddy of mine and I have been working on a podcast which we haven’t released yet. I’ve also tried writing screenplays, but haven’t nearly finished any of my projects.

Are you using the free version? If so, I've read and watched reviews that say the free version is not as efficient as the full paid version. BTW for those interested, Resolve is a one time payment with free life time updates, a reason many have left the Adobe Premier editor which now requires monthly subscription.

At this point, I think Final Cut Pro X is the best and pretty much only use that. Adobe is the only other one I would consider if someone just demanded it.

I don't like being diddled by directors, so no

I’ve got a screenplay or two in mind. May or may not ever try to do anything with it.

I have friends and family that are in the business; crew, make-up, actors, producers, directors, writers, etc. but I've never wanted to be in the movie biz.
