2 things for certain, 1) She has a support network of other selfish women that have propped her up and give her support 2) there is another love interest as well.

People don’t leave what they have unless they believe what they are going to is better.

It may not be physical (from a PI investigation to uncover information) but I’d put money there is an emotional connection somewhere.

Nothing left out. Something changed after our youngest daughter was born. We started arguing a lot. Even though it wasn’t all my fault, I’ll take full responsibility.

This is big and will help you move forward and grow as a person. Never been married but have been in a ton of relationships- some good and some fairly toxic. After every one of them when asked what caused the demise I always took the high road and never criticized like many do. I would say something like "just two good people who had too many differences" and left it that. How can you dispute that? Privately I might vent to my very close friends but it was rare and even then they understood. I ALWAYS took full responsibility- it was me who decided to stay in the relationship after all- and never pointed fingers. I never had a nasty breakup like the OP and others have stated and am still civil (if not friends with) all of my ex's who live near me. No bitterness and it helps to view all failed relationships as experiences to learn from. Now, going thru a bad divorce (with kids involved, nonetheless) is whole different animal so I can't even begin to say I can relate. Good luck to the OP.

don’t even understand how this is possible. Do you not have a ring doorbell? Or any neighbors who give a shite about you at all? How did a moving truck show up and unload your house and leave with your kids and you have absolutely no idea?
people don’t get involved nowadays ( neighbors) I remember when I was dating my wife about 25 yrs ago, she lived in apartment complex. Anyways her neighbor was beating his wife in front of their kids before I could say anything my wife ( girlfriend then) bust up in their apartment and grabs their kids. This guy comes over yelling at her, she yells back “ you’re not fighting in front of these kids” He comes towards my wife fist balled upand I had to beat his arse. The law came and it was a big mess. I moved her out the following week

Within a period of a year or two a buddy of mine got testicular cancer, both of his parents died, and to top it all off his wife divorces him. It was insane. Always think of him when the going gets tough.

7 pages in and I did not get a response

What did you do? Women don’t bolt with three kids like that unless she is crazy.

Better question:

Were you married before the first kid and if not, how old and how long were you dating?

Maybe he didn't do anything

I'd agree that I'd be surprised if there wasn't an option B on the table though.

That’s a big fricking caveat! What percentage of women are crazy at least some time in their life? It’s approaching 100%.

Yeah it is.

I was the one that wanted the divorce and still felt devastated the day that final decree came in the mail.

Sorry don’t buy it. Either a very bad drunk or cheating are top 2 for women to take off

There is definitely an option B.

A woman “madly in love with you” isn’t going to leave suddenly without some sort of emotional security blanket already in place. I know OP said a PI confirmed there wasn’t someone else...good chance the PI is wrong.

Could be that she's not seeing him in her spare time or not very often but I agree that it's generally either infidelity or physical/substance abuse.

Maybe she's doing the PI.

I'll see your basic divorce, and raise you a divorce with three kids, and a business failure.

I’ll see you and raise you house/truck/boat repossession and liquidated 401k. After a decade and a half of making well over 6 figures and having the finer things in life I ended up living in a “modest” 2 br apt driving a 98 tracer until I got back on my feet.

Wish all the best.

Been married 30 years. Some years better than others but we "fought" through the hardest ones. Maybe you can too.

Been there a few times in my journey, so truly understand. I have been lucky to end up with three great friends, but it is never easy. The stages of grief are the same a death, from denial to acceptance. The old adage, time cures all, is never more accurate then in in this event. The key is to to not be weak on the other side & jump right into another relationship. Life goes on and so will you, but work through it and be patient before you ever consider another. Fwiw, I am done with the marriage institution and have never been more at peace ..... and never alone...... at my choosing.
