There is but apparently their IMAX screen is being repaired or something.

Pretty shitty timing on their part.

They just didn't get it. IMAX didn't send it to them they're not sure why.

They told me that their IMAX was just straight up closed (at least temporaily) when I emailed them.

Morrison or the Soloman sisters need to get one in BR.

Isn't BR one of the nation's top movie markets by studies/demographics?

Just on Bluebonnet Blvd alone, TDK at midnight opening, sold-out all 15 Mall Rave theatres, and Perkins Rowe sold all whatever number they did(4/6/8?)..BR deserves an IMAX.

shreveport has an IMAX at the sci-port. but it only plays movies like THE LIFE OF SEA TURTLES and SATURN EXPLORED. just documentary stuff, not major motion pictures. never understood y

Yeah but isn't it all sciencey documentary crap?

Pretty sure the one in Covington is the only one to air feature movies in IMAX.

I called the IMAX in New Orleans and the lady told me they only have educational films now. She said the past couple of times they got mainstream movies they lost money. I laughed and asked if she had been paying attention to the news and seen how well TDK was doing. She didn't find it funny and had no answer for me.

Yeah its such a shame that the theatre in Covington isn't playing TDK in IMAX. They would make so much money

I saw Super Man in 3D on their IMAX. Terrible movie but it still looked cool

Then I'm not sure what the deal is. I talked to them on the phone a few times the weeks leading up to the release. At first they said they were getting it in IMAX, then they weren't sure, and finally the week of the release they said they found out they weren't getting it.

Seeing on IMAX was worth it. I've been studying in Melbourne, Australia and they have the biggest IMAX screen in the world. it was awesome

it's not crap. just not "spiderman" or "batman" or "chickflick"

i've been to probably 5 times more imax's here than regular movies.

Some of them are good...probably "crap" was the wrong word. But they all seem to be the same movie to me. Same tone, etc. And this is coming from someone who used to love Discovery channel with their nightly animal documentries before they got all shitty.

Why take it so personally?
