this show has gotten so over the top that i've lost interest in it, but somehow i watch it every week. i just want to know what the frick is up with the island so i can be done with it.

alright dude, this is a short version of how david chase did this.

the entire first half of the last season, they beat it into the audience's head the whole idea of when you die, "you don't hear it." it just happens, total darkness, and chase stresses that symbolism with the extended black screen before the credits. the entire scene in the diner, from the atmosphere to the ringing door, is centered around tony's point of view. the weird guy walks by, tony's head is down and his back turned. then darkness. christ.

god you're awful. just go read the site. it's incredibly accurate. don't waste your time posting if it's not an actual intelligent thought about the sopranos or its ending

anybody who does not think tony dies in the end obviously doesn't watch the show close enough and doesn't analyze the was david chase works his magic. basically, you don't know what the frick your talking about. read this. this might help.

and as far as the movie goes, afreaux is right. it would have to be a prequel. but david chase left us with a definitive ending. i say no movie
