The wealth is leaving. Many will not come back. Office space will change dramatically. Companies are going to embrace the cost savings realized by remote work. Heck, it was happening before covid.
The very high rents and property values are cratering already. There is more bloodletting to come.
Eventually, the city and state will have to raise income and sales taxes on those left behind and that causes a rapid spiral downhill.
