Ohio State deserves to be there. They have a heisman front runner at QB and as much talent as anyone. Bama is Bama. Last year was a down year and they still won more games than most. I don’t blame the coaches for continuing to hedge their bets on Bama until either LSU or Auburn proves they can consistently beat them.

The argument above for UGA is right on the money.

Being ranked in the preseason as the first team outside the playoffs isn’t a diss considering all that LSU lost. Let The season play out.

LSU is the defending champ, I think they should at least be No. 2 behind a talented Clemson team led by Lawrence. Yes, Bama, Ohio St, and Georgia are all talented, but have questions to be answered on there teams just like LSU, but it is what it is.

They had 9 players drafted in the top 3 rounds. The idea that they were “down” is gump propaganda.

LSU just nutted up and beat them.

Having said all that, idgaf where LSU is ranked to start the season.

Bama had a down yr? It just so happens that Tua got hurt. Thats not a down yr. He played 9 out of 13 games. They lost their 2 hardest games of the yr. I wouldnt say that a down yr. Starter got hurt in game 9 and your 5 star backup freshman qb has to start the rest of the yr..freshman or not hes still a 5 star qb..get off of bamas junk, it wasnt a down yr. That was 1 of the top offenses in the country last season
