Yeah my doctor told me not to become dependent on it. I try to only take it 3 times a week. And never on the weekend. The first time I took it I took a shower and don’t remember making it to bed.

This is very true.

Sometimes you try really hard but it does no good. You can see the signs that they tried to listen, but the dark voice will always be stronger than yours. They know that it will hurt others but they are in so much hurt it doesn't seem to matter. All of their nonchalant internet dealings will seem normal, except that one or two times in the last 48 where they seek out a means and decide.
Understand that it is not about you but an intense hurt you cannot fix. They entered a dark place and didn't think you would understand.

Yeah the doctor prescribed me trazodone and that shite didn’t touch it.

Something like that but not really “it”.
It’s harder to capture that intensity but you’re on the right track.

I'm not sure about your experience, but I respect it.

My question is were there any signs leading up to it?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Even when there are signs, you usually dont recognize they were there until after the fact. I have lost six friends to suicide over the past decade, including one about six weeks ago. I have another we are trying to save right now.

In the years after college I had a group that would meet up at our regular bar for football.
A few years ago I sent out a text and headed over. The bartender was friends with one of the guy’s girlfriend. So the bartender was actually the one who told us one of our friends shot himself the night before.
We knew he was getting some shite from his ex-wife, but didn’t know about some back owed child support from a long time ago. Turns out he got the short end of a court order and went home and checked out.
Very sudden; no real signs.

The most self centered thing you can do in your life that will haunt your family forever.

Know how I know you know nothing about depression?
Posted on 8/4/20 at 8:50 pm to rondo
I've been depressed a lot, but not enough for my family to ask themselves, why.

Every action in life is self centered. That how the pursuit of happiness works.
And sometimes, people decide they’d be happier in the next re-embodiment and see to stopping the hurt in this life.
But it does create generational trauma which leads to a large karmic void that has to be repaid.

Don’t go down this road.
If you cared about the person, there is little else at the end of it other then it eating you alive.
Trust me.
At the end of the day, it’s their choice. Even if it is someone close you cant take accountability for it.
You have to be broken yourself to an extent to see the signs for what they are early.

You typically don't realize you saw the signs until after it happens. A lot of folks going through depression are scared to be a burden on their friends and family so they stay quiet about it.
Hate saying this but this is true. 100% true. To me, stuff like this is what this country/planet need to put more focus on. Not this bull shite harmless pandemic.

I know a great deal about depression and that does not change the FACT that he was 100% correct, it is the most selfish act one can bring upon their family.

Just remember a lot of folks don’t mean to get addicted to Xanax and other types of anxiety meds, but it happens. And then they realize how dangerous it is to get off. This happened to me.
Personally, I’d only take it if absolutely necessary. I’m still trying to kick Xanax, and I’m on what many consider a low dose, 1mg/day.
My dr warned me not to take it everyday, but didn't tell me why, so I didn’t take him very seriously. Found out the hard way.

Wonder how many suicides are happening because of this pandemic?

As someone who has had a family member commit suicide and several that threw their life away to drugs i unequivocally say you're wrong. Throwing everything away for drugs is far worse
