So it's preferable to believe the father of the child who made self-interested conclusory statements to the media so that he could collect $55,000 from the school.

Dude, Chris Blair interviewed the Equipment Director, Greg Stringfellow this past Monday. They discussed the face shields and he confirmed that some players had difficulty breathing while others did not. They're making adjustments and have 7 weeks to figure out and get used to whichever approach they take.
So bottom line is chill with your amateur opinions and let the pros and players find what will keep them safe and at top performance.

GO sit in your car in the heat. Roll down the windows an inch.
NOW roll them all the way down and open the doors.
Notice any difference?
It’s uncomfortable yes I mentioned that but I’m not going to be harmed from inhaling CO2 like the op suggest.

You be you. You want to believe ChiCom propaganda, go for it.
And 2 young boys died under similar conditions within a week - not just 1.

Can't speak for you, but normal people are negatively affected by inhaling increased levels of CO2.
quote:
An increase in the inhaled CO2 concentration can result in increased respiratory rate, metabolic stress, increased brain blood flow, and increased minute ventilation (above 10,000?ppm); decreased exercise tolerance in workers when breathing against inspiratory and expiratory resistance (above 30,000?ppm); headache, dizziness, confusion, and dyspnea (above 50,000?ppm); sweating, dim vision, vomiting, disorientation, hypertension, and loss of consciousness (above 100,000?ppm) (ACGIH, 2017; HSDB, 2015; Rice, 2003).

If both children somehow did die from oxygen deprivation due to wearing masks, which has never been proven because in neither case was an autopsy performed, the fact still remains that the likely cause would have been a result of the mask getting wet, which reduces air flow. LINK
This would not be a problem with plastic face shields.
Heat stroke is bad. Breathing in CO2 is bad. You haven't suggested anything to prove that either of these things can be connected to what the players are being asked to wear to play.

The only 2 LSU players interviewed say they can't F'n breathe. You calling them liars?

I bet you believe that the majority of each breath is oxygen too

Remind me again how many players are on the roster?

Watch out for the cramping now on field. I suspect they’ll monitor their 02 levels. Can they have 02 on the sidelines?

And quit pretending the Chinese flu is dangerous to healthy young adults.
The only LSU player "interviewed" says he lost 27 pounds because he couldn't taste, smell, or was hungry and it was hard for him to breathe. You calling him a liar?

One said it was like trying to breathe in a zip-lok bag, and the other said he couldn't F'n breathe.
Are you affiliated with the mask somehow? The company that makes the mask, or the equipment dept? Bag man, maybe?
Why are you such an adamant supporter of an untested device that players hate?

Wearing masks as a matter of is unhealthful. No question about it.

Its like we have surgeons dropping dead left and right because of all the 15 hour long surgeries and having to wear all those masks.
Not exactly the best comparison. Are they performing surgeries now while on a treadmill outside in heat and humidity while wearing 15- 20lbs of equipment?
Posted on 8/4/20 at 6:42 pm to olgoi khorkhoi
When do they put them on? Must they wear them the entire game even if they’re not playing? Is there enough room for them to social distance on the side line? What about halftime in the locker room? Will they keep their helmets on? Or put masks on and social distance? Is there enough room for that in the locker room? Especially visiting team locker rooms which are considerably smaller. If not then what’s the point of the stupid face shield? fogging up and possibly costing the game!

I’m a surgeon and have worked out with mask on. Not close to comparable. Trust me. However google news about China not best source.
