They're may be some "old timers" that might hate y'all but for the younger crowd y'all are like that 3rd cousin you only see at Christmas. Once a year is enough and you really aren't much to talk about the rest of the year.

Well yeah it is hard to hate an irrelavent team. I was just trying to see how exactly how irrelavent we were. I know the student body hates us.

I was a student at LSU in the 50s and 60s, and Ole Miss is still a big game to me. Always get satisfaction from beating you guys.

That's good. Our team usually tries to put up a fight.

Well I'm not exactly an old timer, but when I was in school, it seemed like the underdog always won that game. And it was always close. Even more recently, see the 2003, 17-14 win in Oxford en route to the BCSNC. Despite Manning, Ole Miss was not a great team and nearly beat us cause their kicker missed like 27 field goals. The game definitely isn't an annnual nailbiter anymore, but I do still love beating the piss out of Ole Miss.
Plus I did 8 years in Jackson and had to put up with the pathetic optimism of Ole Miss fans for far too long.

I don't hate you anymore, I almost feel sorry for you...but now that Coach O is gone, it's not even fun to make jokes about you anymore.

I graduated in 2001 and the student body didn't give a rat's arse about Ole Miss.

yeah we'll come back and be ok. The only problem is that the LSU program is top in the nation right now, and we cant compete with that. But Ole Miss actually has a better winning percentage against LSU, than Miss State does against Ole Miss.

Is Ole Miss now going to hang a banner and make a DVD for that too?

First LSU game I ever went to was against Ole Miss and we lost 10-19. I also remember 2001, Ole Miss pretty much ripped out my heart that year. We have either lost or had Ole Miss within 2 touchdowns 9 of the last 11 games. 4 of the last 6 games have been within a field goal. They almost always bring their A game to play us. I would say it is still a pretty interesting series and I still hate Ole Miss with an undying passion.

I couldn't stand O but never really gave Ole Missy much thought. The games are always closer than they should be so that shows you guys target us.

Although going to Oxford last year gave me a renewed disdain. Some 50 yr old woman came after me and had to be restrained after I tigerbaited her......
