His arm was so strong and release so quick he didn’t need to throw on timing or read defenses. He suffered greatly for never having learned the finer points of playing the position at the highest level. But arm talent was as good as anyone to ever sling it.

"Arm Talent" alone don't win no SEC/National Championships. (And isn't that the one and only goal?)

Just ask Mauck, Flynn and Burrow.

I doubt if you'll ever see a QB at LSU again with only a strong arm and none of the other necessary intangibles.

No more "Square Peg-Round Hole" QB's that can't hit the broad side of a barn throwing the football, read a defense or process information quickly. (The Les Miles dysfunctional QB technique)
