“As Veterans, we understand that traumatic events can trigger violent outbursts. However, we cannot condone or support those who are causing damage to Public and/or Federal Property. At this time it is unclear if these actions are done on the part of protesters triggered by the rampant systemic racism they have endured since the creation of our Nation, or if they are the actions of those who simply want to take advantage of this moment to sow discord and chaos to discredit this movement.”

These motherfrickers were all born post Civil Rights Movement, and most of them after 1990. They haven’t endured shite that millions of others of all races haven’t as well.

Why are veterans given even a semblance of credibility?

Because all of these basement dwelling 20 year olds have been suffering from the ramifications of American systemic racism since the 1700s.
Is it just me, or is that the most cucked and stupid verbiage they possibly could have used? Could have just said "pissed babies throwing a temper tantrum", or "sandy vaginas", or even just "pansy soy figs".

No way are those bitches Vets - Normal vets would not sit back and watch Antifa assault people, support burning of the flag/federal buildings, and finally agree that communistic policy is acceptable.
There are definitely a few rotten apples out there and has been that way since boomer hippies drafted in Vietnam came home to be spit on and called baby killers by the left.
Antifa is a federally recognized terrorists organization - Vets should not only avoid aligning themselves with that criminal organization but vehemently oppose everything that it stands for.
