Cases continue to be high...

quote:

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner announced Monday that there are 884 new cases of COVID-19, which has brought the city's total to 36,985. Turner reported an additional seven deaths due to COVID-19, bringing the total now to 329.

So when do the masks start to work? I mean, they are mandated....

You’re assuming people are abiding by the mandate.
They aren’t.
They aren’t socially distancing either.
That won’t change, regardless.

I don’t think anything will be shifted.
It is what it is.
But we all know darn well that all people aren’t wearing masks—whether they’re effective or worthless .
And that’s certainly their prerogative.

So what you’re telling me is the mask order was pointless and the fear mongering by Turner and Hidalgo was all about control

I’m not sure how their order works but in Louisiana it’s required to be able to go into the store, so that excuse isn’t going to fly here.

They’re required in Houston too.
But my neighbors‘ teenage daughter down the street threw a pretty good-sized pool party this past weekend ... kids and parents.
Not a mask was to be seen—excluding the catering folks.

To hurt Trump.

This is an object lesson from those who really control the country. Elect who we want, or we will make life miserable.

They have made Trump almost completely ineffective.

We can't win even when we win elections.

Prove it beyond a few TD posters pretending they don't wear masks when they're required. You're an emotional trainwreck if you think people's opinions on mask have any effect on the virus lol

Hmmm. The logic in that comment escapes me.
But perhaps I’m reading it incorrectly?

No, I don’t think people’s opinions on masks affect the virus.
I was saying that people’s fidelity to wearing them is low.

For the record, I’m 100% against the mask mandate.

I would guess 90% of people are compliant. It doesn't stop the spread. The virus spreads no matter what draconian rules are being put in place.

Hidalgo says it would be twice that amount without masks.
