Let's be honest, what is truly the wedge issue between conservative patriots and the left?

I can assure you it's nothing to do with alleged racial oppression, it's not statues, memorials, monuments or other remembrances deemed offensive by the leftists. It's not government entitlements, it's not the lack of equal rights and opportunity for all Americans. I could make a more comprehensive list but it's not necessary.
Here's an undeniable truth. Every able bodied American who practices self responsibility and accountability knows there's nothing of a systemic nature in AmerIca that will prevent you from succeeding in your personal and financial life, certainly systemic racism will not prevent you because it doesn't exist. That's not to say racism on a personal level doesn't exist but that type of racism will likely never be nonexistent, fortunately that type of racism will not prevent any American from chasing and achieving their dreams.
So what is this insurmountable wedge between conservatives and the leftists?
It's God. The Marxists don't want to be held accountable for their immoral behavior and they certainly don't want anyone speaking out or judging their lifestyles or ideology.
"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
"One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"
These ^^^^^ inspirational words come directly from the belief that the sovereign Creator of the universe not only gave each man the freedom to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness but also gave us the freedom of choice to accept or reject his moral law. The Dim Marxists have resoundingly rejected the Creator's moral laws and if you're a conservative of faith, particularly the Christian or Jewish faith you're an obstacle to the "fundamental transformation" of America and you will be dealt with harshly for speaking out against their ideology if these Marxist gain complete control of the Federal government.....let's be real, you can already lose lose your job and your opportunities for employment if you speak ill in any way of their social and societal norms.

UPDATE ON THE WEDGE BETWEEN CONSERVATIVES AND THE LEFT
After reading other threads discussing right vs left I started wondering where did the political names Right and Left originate. Because I'm not a historian of political science I had to Google. Interestingly enough the political names right and left come from the French Revolution and where your loyalties lay. On the right with the King and Christianity or the left with the progressives of the revolution.
So the origins of the wedge (God) goes back over 230 years......there's good reason why we conservatives are considered the political right.

You are a lot more likely to get pulled over for a traffic violation if you're in a minority area but that's all I got!

Government is supposed to take the place of God. Government wants no competition for people's loyalties.

I can tell you this, if you're a Marxist living in a country with a constitution such as what we have in America you're safe. If the Dim Marxists gain complete control and have their way the constitution will be unrecognizable in a few years and anyone who speaks or stands against their ideology/tyranny will be crushed one way or another....it's already happening.

Being raised to take care of yourself and neighbor, and never considering that the government should step into your life (apart from military/homeland defense and the court systems).
It’s part of the reason I’m so blown away by the conservative response to COVID/public schools.
Taxes or not, I’d sooner jump off a cliff than rely on public schools to educate my kids.

Sorry to break your heart, but the Pledge existed in some form for 60+ years before "under God" was added in 1954 (during the height of McCarthyism).

The Dim Marxist Party has changed seismically over the past 30 years....they despise all religions, particularly Christians and Jews. When you look at the BLM, Antifa, and the more radical factions of the Dim Marxists party they are agnostic and atheists by and large. Their religion is tyrannical government mixed with humanism and environmentalism.
