FSU Article

quote:

Hargrove was offered by South Carolina and FSU football shortly after he committed to LA Tech. At the time, he was rated as a three-star recruit, however, his ranking went from a .8710 to a .8921 between mid-May and the end of June.

He checks in at 5’11” and 185 pounds and is considered the No. 168 player nationally, the No. 10 running back, and the No. 11 player in Louisiana.

The Noles hold the lone 247 Crystal Ball Prediction with a confidence rating of five back on June 17.

He totaled over 1,500 rushing yards with 20 touchdowns and 17 receptions for 460 yards and six touchdowns. Hargrove would be an excellent player to add to the class. He features balance, strength, and power for his size with excellent acceleration. Another thing that caught my eye was he had over 200 carries last season, which indicates he’s durable for a player with a smaller frame.

Not really what LSU is looking for, but I'm glad other programs are noticing him.

What is "feet" supposed to mean on the 247 eval?

Everything else is pretty self explanatory like pass catching, make-miss ability, burtst, vision, long speed, power, build...."feet" just seems like a weird category.

Seems eprfect for our new offense, good pass catching, burst, and shiftiness. Honestly seems like a taller/leaner Clyde in a way, with more speed.

LSU needs to put the full court press on him.

He is everything you want in a modern day RB.

Unless something changes with the top kids, which is entirely possible, or we decide Kiner is it, he's likely to be our 2nd guy. I like him and wouldn't complain.

Where’s the LaTech fan that had all these personal connections to him and said he was not decommitting

I hope he doesn't turn into another Etienne and we do have to play FSU twice during that span

Is that you, Les? Actually, LSU is in active communication with him. His versatility actually would fit well with our offense. And he's got time to add bulk.

I expect us to slow play him. If he's around and wants to come when/if we decide he's a take, great, but they have other guys on their list right now that are getting first dibs.

You have to have quick feet to be able to cut and move. Having good feet is what makes players more dangerous because they can cut back or juke a defender a lot better

Exactly.

foot speed & flexibility in the ankles are super important for RBs. Being able to pick em up and put em down. Plant and cut. Change direction.

Watch Clyde run vs someone like Chris Curry.

So what's the word on the RB board from the staff's perspective?
