Is Snowden still a traitor? Or have we warmed up to the idea he was right?

I always thought he was a hero. There is a weird kind of third option that he is actually a CIA operative meant to make the NSA look bad with all of their big brother gear.

Is and will always be a traitor subject to a traitors justice if he becomes problematic to Russia or worth the effort to the US.

That's because it is true. He had access to both but only exposed the NSA's.

I never thought him a traitor. He did break the law and should face the consequences for his actions but I don’t believe those actions traitorous.

It's not a binary choice. He was both right and a traitor.

Snowden gave our enemies advanced tech, exposed covert operators, top secret computer software tech. , did a lot of damage

Snowden could have exposed the program without betraying the country.
He chose to run to Russia instead because he's a coward.

I think you're confusing Snowden with another leaker. Snowden only leaked data on programs that were spying on US citizens and he was very careful about what was released. No technology or software were made public due to him.

He never intended to get stuck in Russia, that was a layover between flights and he was prevented from boarding his next one and got stuck. Russia was the last place he wanted to be (except maybe a CIA prison).
It's astounding the level of misinformation some will believe. Kind of proves him right about a lot of things.

No, he wasn’t a traitor at all. The traitor was the administration that did what it was doing.

Doesn't matter where he was running to.
He was running.
If he was a real patriot he would have exposed the program and stood up to the government and let the chips fall.
Instead he corroborated with foreign governments.
frick him

Violating the secrecy agreements he voluntarily signed makes him a traitor. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Doesn't mean he was wrong.

If he hadn't run you would've never known his name. He would've been vanished and prevented from ever telling his side of the story. Instead the intelligence world would've made him out to be some crazy pedo (or worse) and totally discredited him before his story ever made it to print. That's what they do. They still tried but because he was able to counter it they failed.

our enemies
The biggest enemy we have is our own government and Snowden caught them with their pants down. The Russians or Chinese haven't gutted the 4th Amendment. Our own politicians do that. God bless him.

Nah. That means he’s a criminal. There’s a difference.
Had he covertly sold the info to Russia/China/et al then he would be a traitor.
