Maybe my thinking is slightly off tonight but I don't get the No non-conference teams. Just in the SEC LSU still plays at Florida. Bama still plays at LSU you mean Texas doesn't play away or UTSA misses about a million dollar payday at LSU? Jesus just fricking play the games.

It's a business decision like everything else. Most OOC games are against scrub teams that no one is going to attend (assuming the stadium is even open) and the schools hosting those games pay millions. It's a net loss and the schools don't want to lose the money.
The one good OOC game you get is a sacrifice for not losing millions on the 2-3 scrub ones.
