My LA parish has a covid mortality rate of 0.000138. The neighboring parish covid mortality rate is 0.000132.
Which parishes are these?

No way you are a man. Kids are playing little league right now.

I'd be shocked if someone's parents allowed them to play something as dangerous as football but then were afraid of their son catching the sniffles. Parents of football players would never have this mindset.

If you play an SEC only schedule, make the SEC pay for a lot of the testing.
Definitely all pre game testing.

Iberia: 49 deaths / 1181 cases = 4.1%
Lafayette: 51 deaths / 3493 cases = 1.5%

You asked a question, and you got feedback.

why would I not? I think if my son was an athlete he could handle a cold.

Maybe I calculated incorrectly. I did it over the parish population. Iberia Parish has 48 deaths, 38 of which are from nursing home patients. Parish population of 72000. 10/72000 = 0.000138
Same with Lafayette. 50 deaths/244390. Lafayette has 16 nursing home deaths. 34/244390.

Yes!
Youngest is sophomore to be in HS and they are lifting weights and practicing HS basketball 4 days a week.
How many sick young athletes worldwide have there been? Hell, how many deaths those 25 and under without pre existing conditions?
Unless there’s a 85 year old grandpa that has pneumonia in the house then I see zero reason kids shouldn’t be playing.
