If you don't know him he was an A's catcher who decided to be the only MLB to kneel during the anthem.
He is also the player that was drunk and pulled a gun on a delivery driver.... Yes this is who they've chosen to honor because they feel MLB didn't do enough for BLM.

In February, the A’s agreed to bring Bruce Maxwell back to Oakland. Billy Beane, Dave Forst and Bob Melvin signed off on it. Maxwell, playing with Monclova of the Mexican League. He was back in the big leagues - until he said said no.
quote:
“When white people believe the law is designed to protect only them & when they know they can act upon this belief, brazenly calling 911 on Black people, the idea of the neutrality of law enforcement disintegrates.”—@hbryant42 #BlackLivesMatter
quote:
“The same people who did not speak with him then are being listened to now -- all because today's tipping-point moment has made it safe for them to speak. He does not see courage. They risked nothing,” ?@hbryant42? says in piece on A's Bruce Maxwell
quote:
“What they did is to me the equivalent of seeing a Black guy getting his arse kicked in the street by a whole bunch of white guys -- and the Black guys just stand around, watching it happen.” - Dave Stewart on the the lack of black player support of Maxwell in 2017.
quote:
- After defeaning silence, black MLB players are organizing.
- Now that protest is fashionable, Bruce Maxwell wants to know where everyone was back in 2017, when it wasn’t.
- Billy Beane offered Maxwell a chance to return to the A’s. He refused.

clowns, all of them, want so hard to be relevant
trying to do so by saying exactly the same thing as everyone else in their "brave" circle

Hopefully he learned from his mistake and will have a long, productive career!

I’d rather honor Rick Monday.

Your go to answer but you forgot the "be brave" part.
Work up some new material. Be smart.

All lives don’t matter until black lives matter.

I liked them better when they were into rug races.

There was a whole lot of stupid in all those quotes.
