Except it’s still vastly cheaper than any cable on the market and you can instantly cancel service
I'm paying $160 now for YTTV and internet.
I can definitely get a cable bundle for that with more channels.

As opposed to not having internet?
I mean if you know what you're doing and have the proper hardware, you can have all the internet you want

Damn. I just did a quick search on AT&T and it looks like I can bundle cable with my internet and be a full $25/month cheaper.
Thanks Google.
Thanks Google.

So you cut the cable and now your paying the same price you were paying for TV but now you also got to buy the internet connection with it to stream it.
1.) it’s 2020, why wouldn’t you have internet, cable or not?
2.) it’s still not anywhere near as expensive as cable, and comes completely month to month in a competitive market. There’s plenty of other options for you to easily switch to.
Amazed some of you anti cord cutter types can’t seem to grasp those concepts

raising its monthly price from $50 per month to $65 as the company starts to offer eight of ViacomCBS’s channels, which are available today: BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, TV Land, and VH1
i didn't miss these channels before. it would be nice for those folks that want them to have them pay the $15 bucks extra and keep the price at $50 per month for those that don't care about these channels.

I would highly suggest you guys buy PIA for $40.00 and then download and stream whatever content you want
And it takes 10 minutes to change channels. Not to mention you still need logins. Also no DVR option, unless you build a server system, then usually the streams are crap or hard to find.
PIA is fine for a college kid, but they are janky and operate cheap as hell.

Well what’s great is you can easily do that right now.
But if you regret that cable package later on, good luck getting out of it for another 12 months
Also you’re either paying way too much for internet, or you’re gonna be paying way more than 160 on a bundle at most places

Everyone who knew anything about Content knew cord cutting would lead to same prices or higher eventually.

Everytime someone tells me their cable bill they include either phone or internet or both. It isn't apples to apples.

So what are my options? I don't want to pay $65 for this service

Pretty sure I could easily get a cable package with more channels for 65/mo or less.
Feel free to do that.

Fubo, sling, Hulu live, etc

Hulu Live TV but i suspect they will follow with a price hike as well ... because they can.

I will probably stay with YTTV until someone gets their interface better.
Hulu pissed me off majorly during the championship game. Pay for DVR and it still made me watch every commercial even though I was 35 minutes behind live TV. Hulu's interface is pretty terrible too.
Sling is clumsy and slow.

My internet is $95/month for 250 Mbps with Cox. It was $15 cheaper when we had cable too.
My other option is AT&T fiber which is roughly the same price or to get slower internet.

Att fiber in NOLA is $50 for 350mbps up and down.

That has nothing to do with what was being asked. The guy claiming cable is still more expensive than YTTV at $65/mo was asked if he’s looked at cable prices lately. I would bet in every market you can find a cable or satellite provider offering TV packages where the cable portion is less than $65

I thought the whole purpose of YouTube TV was to have less channels rather than pay for stuff you don’t watch. It sucks to pay $15 more for channels you don’t even want.
