Its funny OP keeps saying the weather is terrible all week and everyone keeps telling him to do outdoor activities.
If the weather is bad in Gatlinburg and you don't like your lodging, OP is just fricked.
Just suck it up and enjoy the time inside with the family.

Thursday/friday will be the only days we can get any distance from the car. I cant drag her up a mountain in a storm. Yesterday it was a total washout with some lightning mixed in, and it looks like it's about to start again today
We are going get some stuff to cook and close the blinds (so we cant see our nasty neighbors or their loud arse kids 30 feet away) and drink. We'll get up really early tomorrow and go check out some of the driving trails before daylight. Hopefully thursday we can go spend the day hiking.
