The political board is such a beacon for nuanced, intelligent political discussion, I always hoped this board would turn into its clone.

I’m not a progressive. I consider the far left in this country pretty crazy. But the political board is basically the same level of crazy, just with different beliefs. And I never thought the OT was a great board, but I still prefer it without the political crazies.
And as much as the beliefs differ, the behavior on both sides is the same. Extreme tribalism, extreme extreme confirmation bias, extreme hyperbole.

The first thing to happen that will affect your lives will be the suppression of the Oil & Gas industry such that we'll have to import oil. The intent is to drive gas prices into a range above $5.00 / gallon.
Next all private homes will be issued Smart Thermostats that will regulate your home energy usage - you won't be able to put the A/C thermostat below 80 degrees at any time.
Next, all of the Democrat controlled cities and states will get bailed out for all of their debt - FedGov will pay all of their state pension obligations. This will cause massive inflation because the US dollar will be reduced in value from printing all of those tens of trillions of dollars.
Once the Dems gain political power, things will happen very quickly - there will be a very determined acceleration to the Hard Left.
VOTE TRUMP. He can stop it.
