BREAKING: Democratic Party says Biden will accept presidential nomination in Milwaukee during mostly virtual convention - AP

AP

Nothing really ground breaking other than Biden will be the nominee. Nobody should expect a last minute switch especially with the current poll numbers.

Virtual convention would draw nearly anything as far as enthusiasm and I expect Biden’s speech to be no coherent.

The Dems will do everything they can to pressure Florida to cancel the RNC. Trump will undoubtedly get a nice bump in the polls because of it being in person and the enthusiasm it will generate.

No doubt a pre-recorded and highly edited speech.

Still think they will replace him at the last moment. His party will deep six him. They will leak damaging info about him or his health. Biden is loony tunes and most honest people will admit it. They will impress upon him that he needs to retire.

Hell they can replace him, keep him in the basement and never tell him he was replaced and he will just stay in the basement not knowing any better

This whole thing is heavily controlled and that's VERY telling. They wouldnt be doing all of this if they could trust him to give a coherent mediocre speech for an hour. The fact that they cant trust him to do something a guy running for high school SGA could do is downright embarrassing.

This is correct. Also bookmark this-- Biden won't debate Trump face to face.

Plus they are trying to avoid riots outside their convention.

Not likely to be a bunch of people going nuts outside a virtually empty convention center.

Didn’t only a dozen or states actually hold primaries?

Poor sound guy. “Biden speech, take 172”. He’s going to have to keep his head pretty still for all the splices.

I agree.

But it's definitely a 50/50 gamble. Trump having his in person will provide a boost to his poll numbers there is ZERO dispute in that.

that’s depending on how people feel about the case numbers. It might tank him if people think he’s unnecessarily putting people at risk
