Grace Randolph from Beyond the Trailer is reporting it on her Twitter page. WB is currently talking with Reynolds to make it official. So apparently there will be new footage shot for this cut of the film that wasn't completed during original principal photography.

I'll wait for literally anyone besides Grace Randolph to confirm.

In all seriousness I would love for this to be true. Marvel is jacking him around about Deadpool so why not give Hal a 2nd chance?

I think he could make it great the 2nd time around.

It would be hilarious if the aborted start of the DCEU was retroactively added back to canon.

Well, considering the mess of the DCU/DCEU/whatever the hell they're doing with Batman, it's probably going to be a tie-in for new film/films in the DCSV (DC Snyder Verse) which will follow from HIS cut of the Justice League movie.

(I think/hope)

Idk maybe it sucked tho

It's been downhill for Snyder since he directed Dawn of the dead and 300

I actually skipped last 2 periods of school to catch dawn of the dead back when I was like 16 17

Fun day had caught the bus after lunch and a math test had some chick fil a. Smoked a j in the bushes and saw an awesome zombie flick when there weren't many atm

Love when the theater isnt packed to the gills

I'll say it I enjoyed Reynolds as GL. Maybe the movie didn't live up to, well, any expectations but Reynolds was good.

The movie totally sucked. It wasn't really his fault, it was a crappy paint by number script, but the addition of that character from that movie won't make anything better.

Lol.
He managed to frame the comic almost perfectly, and yet STILL completely missed the point of it. The fight scenes were the very thing that Moore was trying to make more realistic in the comic. The movie is garbage.

So how is this Snyder Cut going to work. Are they releasing it to theaters. Or is it gonna be straight streaming platforms.

While I want to see the film. There's a slim slim chance of me paying $20 to watch a different version of the same movie I saw and hated 3 years earlier.

HBO Max only. Possibly on HBO TV eventually. I doubt it will be short enough for theaters.

I wouldn't mind if they did the Emerald Nightmare with him and start off with Kyle as the Green Lantern. That way Ryan Reynolds can kill off his Green Lantern.

So apparently there will be new footage

If Reynolds is actually discussing resuming the role it’s got to be also be a leverage play on Disney for Deadpool and/or having serious 4th wall jokes

Apparently it is going to be new old footage. In this scene they originally filmed Armie Hammer as Hal Jordan but it was cut from the film.

Rumor is Reynolds will be inserted here as Hal Jordan. Who knows if this is just a marketing ploy by Reynolds and Snyder or the real deal, we will have to wait and see.

I hope it's real and he reboots the Green Lantern movies as Jordan.

Apparently Deadpool inst even on Marvel's radar and since Reynolds's contract is not a Marvel contract but one with Fox before the merger, it doesn't specifically state he cannot be in DC movies. I am not a lawyer but I would think his contract will have to be honored as is via Marvel.

This would be a MAJOR coop for DC if they can get him in the Synder cut and back as Green Lantern.
