I’m talking about the plane banner, the flags being sold across the street, etc.
Trying to ban something, especially something with its roots in a rebellious spirit, is only going to further entrench that rebel status to it.
You put people on the defensive, saying you are going to tear down their history, rename their streets and all this shite, they see it as an attack.
So they are gonna dig in more.
Not saying I’m gonna do it but I can understand the sentiment. It’s not just the rebel flag, it’s anything that represents rebellion or a counter culture. The more taboo the powers at be make it the more it becomes attractive.

The guy's name is Bubba. He's from Mobile, Alabama. He's a NASCAR driver, racing for Richard Petty's race team, in his signature #43 car. His accent is thicker than Cracker Barrell syrup.
On those facts alone, it's pretty easy to discern he's being strictly targeted for the color of his skin. It's bullshite.
He's handled it with incredible class, and so has NASCAR. Along with the #9 car, the #43 will be a favorite of mine going forward.

We don't know the facts yet. What we do know is the draw strings used to raise and lower the garage doors are shaped like nooses and that Wallace never actually saw the "noose" in question because drivers aren't even allowed in the garage due to the new restrictions.
