Also, Oceania has always been at war with East Asia.
If you disagree you need to be put in a re-education camp

Like is Juneteenth supposed to be a big deal? I grew up around black people, and they never cared. I find this kind of bizarre.

Juneteenth is an MSM ruse to make us forget about cat girls.

A) This has been a thing for years. I learned about it when I was a college student back in 2005. It's been an official state holiday in the state of Texas since 1980.
B) Who GAF? Slavery is bad, ending slavery is good - you're upset that the black community celebrates this? Why? In what way is your life actually impacted?

I have honestly never heard of juneteenth, I'm familiar with the emancipation proclamation though.

Main reason I know about it is that the city of BR pays for a big Juneteenth celebration each year and the only people going tend to be ones who generally don’t pay taxes.
IOW, another event subsidized by St George.

Juneteenth has never been on a single calendar I've bought. Racist calendar publications should be brought down and let a black person run their business to make things right.

The fact that 70% of the country had no idea what the frick Juneteenth was even 3 weeks ago should tell you all you need to know.
I, like many others on this board from the South that actually grew up with and around black people, unlike all the idiots like Roger Goodell and self hating soys and the media elites, have known about Juneteenth my entire life.
This is a joke. The 1984 line is so spot on.

Let’s approach this academically. Am I supposed to think Juneteenth is more important than the day Lincoln issuer the EP? Because it seems like Juneteenth has leapfrogged that in a very short matter of time.
I took African American studies in college. Do not recall it being mentioned.

quote:I agree - in the other direction. Just think if it had been designated a holiday after the Civil War as a redress of grievances and a sign of welcome for the slaves into American society.

Most black people don’t even celebrate MLK day.

The reason why people in South Louisiana don't celebrate the Proclamation, is because it kept them slaves.

Juneteenth is less about celebrating the end of slavery and more about furthering white guilt by reminding white people of the real or perceived sins of their ancestors. It’s an astroturfed holiday brought to you by the same forces endeavoring to destroy America.
