Do news agencies cover these types of stories much? I never see this kind of stuff on reddit or anything. Do they ever find out what lead up to this (if anything) and who did it? Where did this happen? Nobody interviews the victim, etc?

Probably because it doesn’t fit the news media’s narrative. There are multiple incidents of police brutality (even more statically) of whites being killed (including unarmed citizens) than African Americans being killed by police, but that’s not “news”. The George Floyd murder is completely unacceptable and reprehensible, I have not met one person yet that disagrees with that, but you can’t take one situation and expand it to and entire profession.
Are there issues with profiling in the AA community and does that need to end? Absolutely. Still doesn’t change the statistics

Some people are just meek and non violent. Everyone is not a billy bad arse. I would have at least defended myself but that is me. But I know a lot of great people who have never been in a fight.
