On Twitter TWTR, 1.03%, others have suggested reworking the ride and basing it on other Disney animated films, including “Moana” and “The Emperor’s New Groove.”

90% of the people under 40 who go to Disney parks have never seen Song of the South and have no idea where the characters in Splash Mountain are from.
