Four children and two adults are dead after a Thursday night murder-suicide at Parkview Apartments in Monroe.

Police Chief Reggie Brown confirmed the six deaths Friday and identified Brittany Tucker, age 30, as the shooter.

Tucker reportedly shot Anteshia Logwood in front of Building 19 at the apartment complex around 7:44 p.m. Brown said Tucker approached Logwood and made an 'irrational comment' that Logwood dismissed.

"That is when (Tucker) produced a handgun she had recently purchased and fired a shot," Brown said. "She then proceeded to her apartment, apartment 159, where her children were. She proceeded to shoot each one of her children, and there were four children inside the apartment. All four children died as a result of their injuries."

Detectives identified the four children as Tremayne Tucker, age 12; Trechelle Tucker, age 8; Treasure Tucker, age 5 and Glory Tucker, 5 months old.
