Valley Ho cabana room on 4th of July is probably still a solid option if OP is bringing sand to the beach. Pool party all day, happy hour and a few bars in old town, then hit the rooftop at the Ho for fireworks with a 360° view of the valley.

I figured it changed. Especially in a place as artificial as Scottsdale.

My buddy just went. He said valley ho was wack and the W and surrounding bars is where the action is.
