With more remote work it will definitely change indeed. Not to mention it helps "climate change".
It's less exposure to cosmopolitan degeneracy and more exposure to simple more rural/suburban life. Where living is cheaper, you have space to move and do things.

It's already changing, and COVID accelerated it. I already had friends and colleagues that worked 75% remote and flew to the West Coast for meetings. Otherwise they have home offices with everything they need. There are always going to be hot jobs that are on-prem only, and there will always be kids in search of adventure moving to them. But increasingly, when people are tired of cubicle farms in NorCal... not the mention the sheer expense of living there... you'll see more and more opt for remote work if they can get it.
