Of all the crap to worry about right now. Maybe black students should stop acting up more than others.

I would be curious how many of those blacks come from single-parent households vs the white kids. Maybe let's look at the root cause of the discipline issues.

I'm not saying this isn't true, but shouldn't you have to cite the info? List the actual stats? You can't just say shite like this. Maybe I missed it.

Kept me inline, I'm good with the paddle

I went to a fully integrated school my entire life.
There's a reason young black men get paddled more.

I thought St Aug got rid of paddling.

Had no idea that was still legal anywhere

So I see stats like this and understand the obvious implication is that the administrators are prejudice or racists. The other potential implication is that this is an indictment of the home/family structure. Instead of seeing this in terms of white students vs black students, why don't you show it to me in terms of households with two parents vs single parent households.
However, I know we will NEVER see those stats.

So if you eliminate the punishment the misbehavior disappears? Genius

I was def black in primary and middle school then.

What would he say if I said I don't even want to be in contact with a black kid?

Exactly. All they're doing is throwing a bunch of crap against the wall to see what their useless idiots will run with...

Is this a direct correlation like how when ice cream consumption rises, forcible rape cases go up, too?

In the past the school had to have a signed permission slip from the parents on file. Did they completely outlaw it?

It is just getting downright hilarious at what the Dems are putting out now. If a teacher had actually done this to a black student, it would have made national headlines.

quote:it rarely happens but most of those kids have single moms who support the principal doing it bc the kids don't have dads to do it. most kids prefer the paddle to detention or alternative school anyway.

The root cause is single parent households with little to no discipline at home. I got spanked at school once then got it worse when I got home. Didn’t happen again.

Let's see, he is a Representative from the state of Connecticut. Instead of thinking for everyone else ....try resolving the issues that involves your own state before telling everyone else to be as enlightened as you?

At the integrated public school I went to the kids from Trahan trailer park got paddled about 50 times as much as the black kids. Those little meth heads were bad.
