Old Gold is what your Momma uses...... but yeah I've bought helmets with it as Green Bay gold.

Official school colors are Royal Purple and Old Gold. The Gold color of LSU athletic teams is Canary Yellow. All shades of actual Gold have some degree of metallic in them. (Saints, 49ers, Georgia Tech, UCLA,) Canary Yellow= LSU/Iowa/Packers/Steelers.
Speaking of the Packers, can someone please send a photo of their pants to Greg Stringfellow. Our pants (LSU) are supposed to look like theirs.(Packers) In other words, the stripes on the pants are supposed to match the stripes on the helmets. I can't stand the current purple, white and yellow stripe that's on the pants. It's supposed to be a purple stripe with a band of white inside. That's traditional and it looks a lot better. That little band of yellow in there throws the whole thing off visually.....

I definitly agree about the pants. I sent an e-mail to greg srtingfellow about this but got no reply. Maybe, everyone should send him an e-mail.

I know you can get the official colors at Home Depot, but I was looking for it in a spray can.
I made a LSU helmet out of an old white helmet. The color I used was camel yellow from a hobby shop.

I thought it was officially called "bright gold". I believe I saw that somewhere.

I have redone several old football helmets, and if you go to Home Depot and buy the "Safety" yellow it is very close to the exact color.

NO, ITS GOLD. A shade of gold. This has been discussed numerous times on here. See Gold color table link below
The color of our helmet was none of those colors on your link.

It looks like PMS 123 is the color you're after.

LSU's "canary yellow" is a light, bright GOLD. NOT OLD GOLD, NOT METALLIC GOLD. The saints, 49ers, Notre Dame have a metallic gold. NOT OLD GOLD

YES. It is a light, BRIGHT GOLD. Not a DULL gold like OLD GOLD. Nor shiny like metallic gold.
