My guess would be the original plan was to do the whole batman vs the cops shite and then Joker eventually busts out forcing everyone to turn to Batman again or something along those lines.

Supposingly Nolan doesn't have an overreaching plan for the series...the reason why they didn't kill off any villians was to leave their own options open.

yea but you have to think with as great as this Ledger performance was he had some future plans for the Joker. I think there were several things in the movie that alluded to it.

No, he was left for the cops so I'm guessing he's in Arkham. The third will be the final movie, and he has to somehow top the second. Bane, Two-Face, and the Riddler, but as a small role.

I want Man-Bat, one of may favorites from an old comic, one of the first I got. I think it came with a record or something. It was awesome.

I know none of them are going to be done, but Clayface would be cool too.

Nolan wants it to be a real threat, so no goofy crap like green suits on the riddler, or either of the characters named above.

I'm just glad there's going to be a new batmobile.

I am pretty sure they originally planned to bring the Joker back in the 3rd movie because at the end Joker talks about how him and Batman are an unstopable force meeting an immovable object because Batman couldnt kill Joker and Joker thought Batman was just too much fun to kill. He then went on to say that he guessed they would just go on fighting forever.

Man-Bat and Clayface are too SciFi for Nolan. He can do the Riddler without us ever having to see him. But the "goofy crap like green suits" would fit with his universe because a man dressing like a bat is bringing out all of the crazies, like a guy who wears clown makeup, a guy who wears a burlap sack on his head or a guy who wears green suits.

i really think the mask of the phantasm storyline would fit great after this movie.all the crime bosses start getting killed and batman is on the run the whole time.

The Riddler with a sick twist.

Make him like the guy from Saw, setting wicked traps and shite.

I think they could use it for the basis of the story - mob bosses getting killed and the murders being blamed on Batman - but Nolan shouldn't bring in such a convoluted backstory.

Yes I have and Two-Face is not dead.

1. Batman doesn't kill his enemies.

2. They didn't show a funeral on purpose. Only a memorial.

3. Too big of a character to let die that easily. If so it would be the same mistake Spiderman 3 made with Venom.

BTW Bane is Spanish so Tiny Lester will not be Bane.

I am glad I am not the only one who saw him and thought he could be Bane. Even though he is spanish in the comics there is no reason in Nolan's world he has to be.

Like someone posted in here a sawish riddler would fit perfectly in the Nolan universe. Two villians in the 3rd and final movie would be great. Batman(the perceived villian) and the Riddler actually doing the things Batman is getting blamed for would be outstanding.
