re: Do you believe police have a right to order you inside while you're on your property?

The number of people who trade security for freedom will never surprise me.

No. However, I see your stance. Whether it's an unlawful order or not, it's better to comply with an order to simply avoid the headache of dealing with the repercussions of a dick head officer. After all, it's just going inside your own home; "what's the big deal?" The point these other people arguing with you are trying to convey is that this should not be the norm, and that these people should not be in a positions of power. History is an indicator that it's a slippery slope from "get inside your home now" to "get in the train car headed to the camp".
For the record, I would've went inside.

No, it’s because you blindly defend and comply police commands just because they are police commands without assessing if they are even lawful, much less reasonable.
So the idea that you living in Germany 90 years ago would’ve gladly thrown a group of Jewish people into a chamber and turned on the gas just because the police told you to really doesn’t seem that far fetched. Or even better, if you were one of those Jewish people you would’ve happily walked into that chamber just because the police told you to.
After all:
“You will never win an argument with a cop in the streets.”
“Don’t try to run, don’t argue with cops, don’t assault cops, don’t resist arrest. You’ll have your day in court to fight with a lawyer.”
“All I’m saying is if you are polite and follow police commands, you will not get “literally murdered”.”
“Argue morals and the way things should be all you want, I’m telling you the basic steps you should take to not die at the hands of police. It’s common sense.”

Police officers have to deal with the dregs of society on a daily basis. They get cursed, they are spit on, they have to worry if they will make it home alive after their shift. They also have to deal with people who shove cameras in the officer's face, trying to elicit an aggressive response for their youtube channel. Then they have to work a second job doing security at walmart. Yet we expect them to act like Chik Fil A employees. "Have nice day sir, thanks for calling me a f***ing piece of sh**". I would never want to be a cop, (except when I'm behind grandma doing 58 mph in the left hand lane on the basin bridge) but I do respect their sacrifice.
